A WARNING TO THE HOMESTUCKERS!

: Okay, I've been goin' round dA/tumblr a lot as of recently aaaaaaaand it has been brought to my attention that one of the most popular ships is DirkJake/PumpkinPatch/Carrots&Peas/(whatever!)

Well your ship is about to get wrecked.

Now don't get me wrong, DirkJake is one of my favorite post-scratch ships in HS along with RoxyJane/Cottoncandy/(Whatever!), but I think Hussie's setting us up for a major trolling heartbreak. I base this assumption off of Dirk's title: the "Prince of Heart" and this -> (www.mspaintadventures.com/?s=6…) pester log between UU and Dirk. Basically, this log in particular explains the "Prince" class and its passive counterpart, the "Bard". Prince and Bard are destroyer classes, "one who destroys x, or causes destruction through x" x being the characters' aspect. So for Dirk it would be, "one who destroys hearts, or causes destruction through (heart/love/soul)".
Now I've found three possible things that could happen:
1. DirkJake doesn't become canon and it 'destroys' the yaoi fans 'hearts'
Seeing as Hussie already took out RoxyJane and likes breaking the fourth wall, it's likely
2. DirkJake does become canon and Dirk 'destroys' Jane's 'Heart' (if what Roxy implied was true and Jane does like Jake)
Yay for the yaoi fans, but poor Janey
3. Something completely irrelevant
UU said that 'heart' and 'soul' could be interchangeable and the Prince class is a 'wildcard'. Anything could happen, especially since Hussie's writing HS.

Now that I got that outta my system, I'm going to batten down my hatches for a three way shipping war centered around Jake concerning if he will end up with Jane, Dirk, or this new, cerulean, Scorpio troll. *puts on pit helmet, grabs notebook and dives into the trenches of the ShippingWars no-man's land*
